Yvonne Arnaud Theatre

The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford first opened in 1965 and has since housed many shows, some of which have moved to the West End and some of which are lesser known. The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre always has an eclectic mix of classical and contemporary theatre involving both old and new writers.

Situated in the heart of Guildford this theatre gives you a different experience to many large commercial theatres. Many of the plays shown here are produced in the theatre and then go on to tour many others in the country.

If you are looking for an intimate theatre experience, with much less commercial and yet equally brilliant shows, then the Yvonne Arnaud theatre is the place for you.

Thorpe Park

For the perfect adventure day out for all ages why not try Thorpe Park, Chertsey. Thorpe Park is one of the biggest and most popular amusements parks in the country and boasts over 30 rides ranging from extreme thrills to children's rides. Its also very easy to locate as it is situated just off the M25 and is easily accessible by train or bus.

Thorpe Park is open for most of the year with prices ranging from £16 upwards with many deals for children, families, elderly people, disabled people and groups.

Thorpe Park is home to some of the UK's most exciting rides, including Stealth which takes it's passengers on a wild ride, going from 0- 80mph in under 2 seconds as well as reaching the dizzying height of 205 feet.

Thorpe Park is a day that will be enjoyed by everyone, but choose your day wisely as it's no fun waiting in line when it's pouring with rain. Queues for rides can also get very large in peak season with waits of up to 1.5 hours.

Go Ape is an award winning forest adventure that has it's participants climbing through the tree tops, crossing rope bridges, sliding across high wires and crawling through tunnels.

Available to anyone above the age of ten, with under 18's being supervised by an adult, Go Ape is excellent for those of you who love an outdoor adventure. Located just outside Farnham, Go Ape is easy to find and reasonably priced. The experience lasts for 2.5 to 3 hours and there's lots of opportunities to get your picture taken or even record your experience.

Go Ape offers a 20% discount for schools and colleges as well as a 10% discount for most youth groups.

Go Ape is the perfect way to get some fresh air, exercise and have lots of fun. Be warned though, it's strictly for the outdoor types among you.

Dr Dolittle

Right now at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking they are showing Dr. Dolittle. The story of infamous vet with a special ability, he can talk to animals. Dr. Dolittle is a very popular musical which has been running for ten years starring various big name talents. Tommy Steele currently plays the leading role of the Doctor.

Dr. Dolittle, which was also turned into a feature film, is fun for the whole family with well known songs, a great cast and lots of amazing costumes, it's sure to be enjoyed by adults and children alike.

The New Victoria Theatre is a very nice relaxed theatre with very moderate prices. Tickets for Dr. Dolittle start at just £14 and are available now. There are also discounts for groups.
